Enelift: a product website for patented tubular handling technology
TwoFifths Design, a website design and development studio in Edinburgh, designed and built the new website for Enelift, the Aberdeen based engineering company behind a patented approach to tubular handling. The brief was to explain a technical product clearly enough that an operations lead anywhere in the world could understand it in a single visit.
The brief
Enelift’s technology is patented, engineered in Denmark and used on projects worldwide, but the story was being lost in the detail. The site needed to introduce the Hinge-Lok and the Integral Sling System, show where they apply, and give a technical audience a clear route to the resources they need.
Structuring a technical product
We built the site around six sections that answer questions in the order a buyer asks them: Home, Products, Applications, Advantages, The Story and Resources. Products explains what the technology is, Applications shows where it is used, and Advantages makes the case without overselling it. The Story carries the Danish engineering origin, which matters to this audience.
Built to travel
Enelift sell into a global market from Aberdeen, so the site had to work as well on a phone on site as on a desk. We kept the build fast and light, wrote in plain English rather than jargon, and made the Resources section the obvious destination for anyone who needs the technical detail before making contact.
Planning a product or engineering website that has to explain something complex? Let’s make it clear.
